Sharing Your Faith
Faith in God and all He has done for us is not meant for you and I only. In fact, our mission as people is to live and share our faith.
“Live” is a verb–thus living our faith means our faith is real and our faith is evident to us and to others. Some examples include regular church attendance, daily devotions, time in prayer, quiet time listening to the voice of God, and setting aside time for reflection and gratitude.
“Share” is also a verb–meaning that we need to be active in sharing our faith. In the Bible, there are stories of shepherds caring for their sheep by day and by night. Sharing our faith becomes an activity within which others are impacted by your faith. Hereto, sharing includes prayer for others, speaking of faith from verses like, Hebrews 11:1–“we live by faith, not by sight.” Sharing includes speaking life into others from our faith experience and expressing our belief for good.
Action Steps:
- Develop the daily disciplines of daily devotions to receive from God
- Increase your intentional prayer time
- Create time for listening for the voice of God
- Be intentional about sharing with others what God is telling you
- Be intentional about sharing with others what is God is doing in your life
